- Why is lawn fertilization important?
- Fertilization gives grass the nutrients it needs to grow thick, hold color, and fight off pests and disease on its own. A well-fed lawn crowds out weeds before they get established, which means less chemical treatment later, not more.
- Is it safe for pets and children to be on the lawn after a treatment?
- Keep pets and children off the lawn for 24 to 48 hours after an application. That gives the product time to settle and water in. Your technician will tell you on the day if a specific treatment needs longer.
- What are the signs my lawn needs fertilization?
- Yellowing blades, slow growth, thinning patches, and a general dullness are the usual signs. Soil testing confirms which nutrient is actually missing, which matters because a lawn short on iron and a lawn short on nitrogen look similar from the driveway and need completely different treatments.
- What types of pests do you handle?
- Chinch bugs, sod webworms, grubs, armyworms, and nuisance ants on the turf side. For structures we handle ants, termites, bed bugs, cockroaches, rodents, spiders, and wasps. If you have something specific, ask and we will tell you straight whether it is in our lane.
- How do I know if I have a pest problem?
- Look for droppings, gnaw marks, nests, or visible insects. On a lawn the tricky one is chinch bug damage, because it looks exactly like drought stress. If a brown patch keeps spreading even though you are watering it, that is usually chinch, not thirst.
- How do I choose a lawn and pest company?
- Check that they are licensed and insured, read the reviews including the bad ones, and ask whether disease and insect treatment are included or billed separately. A cheap monthly price that excludes fungus is not cheap the first time your lawn gets brown patch.
- What landscaping services do you offer?
- Landscape design with our in-house designer, installation, hardscaping, softscaping, irrigation, lighting, and ongoing maintenance. Having the designer on staff means the plan is drawn by the people who have to install it and live with it.
- Can you work with an existing landscape?
- Yes, and most of our design work is exactly that. We integrate new elements with what is already established, refresh plant selections, and improve how the space actually functions rather than tearing everything out to start over.
- How do I know which irrigation system is right for my property?
- It depends on the size of the landscape, the plants you have, and your water source. We do an on-site assessment and lay out zones by sun exposure and plant type, because turf and beds need very different amounts of water and forcing them onto one schedule is why half of them always look wrong.
- What types of tree services do you offer?
- Trimming, removal, stump grinding, canopy lifting, crown reduction, deadwood removal, tree health assessments, and emergency service after storms. We have the crane and chipper for large removals, so a big oak does not need to be subcontracted out.
